I am making a donation
You may now decide to make a donation, in other words, transfer an asset to the ICM.
The donation certificate must be notarized.
This may be carried out on two conditions:
- the donor owns the asset on the day of donation
- the donation must not infringe on the rights of the donor’s heirs
The donation results in the immediate transfer of ownership of the asset given to the beneficiary.
The donation may be of any type of asset: real estate, furniture of value, cash, bank accounts, specific equipment, etc.
I am making a bequest
You may make a bequest by rewriting your will and thus decide to transfer all or part of your assets to the ICM.
Anyone over the age of 16 years may make a will which must be in writing, dated, and signed. It may at any time be amended, modified, or revoked by the testator. The testator remains the owner of his or her assets until death.
A bequest may be made of any type of asset: real estate, furniture, cash, bank accounts, artworks, etc. |
