Several major research centres in neuroscience already exist around the world. The ICM will be at the heart of the network, grouping together some of these centres, so as to pursue joint research programmes.

Research, carried out within ICM, will be conducted by a Scientific Advisory Board composed of specialists from around the world. ICM also enjoys the support of an Honorary Committee comprising eminent researchers, including seven Nobel Prize winners.
